Team One Credit Union Receives Award from United Way

In conjunction with National Volunteer Week, The United Way of Saginaw County recognized Team One's commitment to the community at its 2009 LIVE UNITED Community Awards Breakfast on April 23 at Horizons Conference Center in Saginaw Township.

Team One Credit Union’s Community Impact Team was awarded the Thomas J. Hetherman Award for community service by the United Way. The award is a tribute to the late Thomas J. Hetherman, a United Way president and chief executive officer.

"I’m so proud of our employees for their dedication to volunteering in the community and in their support of the United Way which sponsors so many local, worthwhile programs" said Konnie Werner, Team One Credit Union President/CEO.

In 2008, the Community Impact Team logged over 1,100 hours of community service through programs and events such as Habitat for Humanity, Walk MS, American Cancer Society and Adopt-A-Highway and is well on its way to surpassing that total in 2009. In addition, the staff at Team One donated over $8,300 to the United Way's Annual Campaign.
